PooPrints Water is a DNA Dog Waste Management program that has proven to successfully hold dog owners accountable for their pet’s waste. Our DNA program ensures a higher participation rate which leads to cleaner communities and local waterways. The program is applicable to any community and can be easily scaled to meet the needs of an apartment complex, HOA, city, county, or state.
We match the DNA found in the waste to the DNA of the dog! The simple process begins by collecting the dog’s DNA sample via buccal swabs, sending this sample to our lab, and then registering the dog’s DNA with a pet owner profile in our patented online database. We can now identify the irresponsible dog owner. We utilize modern DNA technology and public education to reduce harmful bacteria in urban runoff. This multi-benefit program empowers communities to fully enforce the Clean Water Act, avoid MS4 stormwater permit fines incurred from TMDL (total maximum daily load) violations, protects public health and ensures the local tourism economy remains strong.
